Safety Glasses With the Light Built In

Why Lighted Safety Glasses Beat a Headlamp

A headlamp sits above your eyes, so your own hands and tools throw shadows straight down onto the work. Luminyx puts the light in line with your vision, at the lens, so the shadow has nowhere to fall. No flashlight in your teeth. No repositioning. No second piece of gear to remember.

Built for the Work You Do

Mechanics, electricians, HVAC and plumbing techs, contractors, IT and field-service techs, first responders, industrial maintainers, and medical and dental professionals — anyone working in tight or badly lit spaces where overhead light doesn't reach.

Not a Novelty. Protective Equipment.

Most lighted safety glasses are a single LED clipped to one temple, throwing a narrow beam that still leaves your hands in shadow. The NFS-1 is patented differently: circumambient LEDs ring the full perimeter of both lenses, recessed behind an opaque barrier so none of it hits your eyes. It's engineered as ANSI Z87.1 impact-rated safety eyewear first — with IPX5 water resistance, a rechargeable swappable battery, and replaceable lenses — not a flashlight bolted onto a pair of glasses.

From the Inventor's Own Line of Sight

Luminyx was invented by Matt Wise, a cinematographer with more than twenty years of lighting experience on music videos and feature films. The idea came from watching his dentist work under a single-lens LED headlight and thinking: what if the light came from all around the glasses instead of one point?
